Close Combat Optic (CCO) Training

Telluric Group is teaming with Aimpoint to provide an elite-level 2 day rifle/ carbine course to military units and law enforcement organizations to help them maximize the effectiveness of their weapons and red dot optics.

Aimpoint, Inc., the premier provider of red dot optics to the US military, selected Telluric Group as its strategic partner in an effort to make top quality carbine/ CCO (close combat optic) training more readily available- and more affordable- to military units and law enforcement agencies.  The training will help these organizations maximize the effectiveness of their weapon systems, and particularly of their issued red dot optics.   This is critical because delivering fast, accurate first-round hits saves lives.   The course includes a short classroom brief/ presentation followed by two days of live fire training.

Topics covered include:

• Aimpoint CCO nomenclature, mounting, operation, and maintenance;
• Aimpoint CCO capabilities and limitations (myth vs. reality);
• Zero theory and establishing zero (optics and back up iron sights);
• Basic ballistics/ trajectory and appropriate point-of-aim adjustments (holds);
• Review of marksmanship fundamentals;
• Standard and non-standard shooting positions;
• Engagement of targets from CQB range to 300m+ (range dependent);
• Combat reloads;
• Immediate action/ malfunctions;
• Use of cover;
• Multiple target engagement.

The course can be conducted at the Telluric Group Training Facility in Brunswick, Georgia or at your location by our mobile training team (MTT).
