The M-73 is a robust, precision instrument of aluminum, glass, and (predominantly) brass construction. Like all Francis Barker compasses, it is designed to withstand even the most extreme climates or conditions.
The M-73s prism sighting system allows the user to shoot extremely accurate azimuths. Quick, precise settlement of the liquid filled dial assembly allows for rapid use of the compass in field conditions. Five self-luminous tritium light sources enable night operation.
Every component of the M-73 can be replaced, leading to years of continuous, reliable use and lower service costs.
